At the beginning of each round, all the players make their bets. You can place your chips into the numbered cells ('inside bets') or into the external cells ('outside bets'). Each inside or outside bet corresponds to one or more pockets of the roulette wheel. For example, a chip placed on a single number is mapped to only one pocket, while making bets on red means that you're aiming for all red pockets. By clicking any external cell you can highlight the wheel pockets that it corresponds to.

Once all the players finish placing their bets, the roulette wheel starts spinning and, after some time, the ball falls into a pocket between 0 and 36.

The roulette wheel number plate is where the roulette numbers are depicted. All wheels look fairly similar in this area of the wheel but players should always be aware that there are some wheels where the number plate is adjustable and can be rotated during the casino downtime. • The now iconic roulette wheel was created by the French in the 18th Century - hence the name, which translates as ‘little wheel’. The classic European Roulette design features the numbers 1 to 37 in alternating colours of red and black, plus a zero which is green. American Roulette has the addition of a double zero. Fun fact: the numbers on.

Each of your bets matching the winning pocket will earn you winnings according to its payout ratio. Note that your winnings are determined by your bet that is currently placed on the table. For example, if you put 5 chips on red and the payout ratio is 1:1, then you'll get 5 additional chips (+100%) if you win.

The bets and their corresponding wheel pockets vary depending on the roulette rules.

A table for American roulette contains 38 numbers, 36 of which are split into three rows in ascending order. The two remaining numbers ('zero' and 'double zero') are at the beginning of the table.
